Windows

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria for windows to be financed under the REECL Programme

 Definition:

Energy efficient windows comprise of:

  • Glazing: factory made sealed units, consisting of two or more panes, separated all round by a spacer, with a gap between the panes filled with air or argon;
  • Frame: made from wood, PVC, aluminium or composite materials.

 Eligibility Criteria:

For permanently occupied areas:

  • Maximum U-value for the whole window: <1.5 W/m² K
  • Glazing: U max <1.4 W/m² K
  • If a certified U-value for the whole window and/or its glazing is not available, the minimum set of criteria laid out in the table below applies.
Window Frame Material At least one glass pane should be: Space b/n the panes Space filled with: Frame Thermal Brake
Double Glazing PVC, U max = 1.5 W/m² Not less than 4 мм high performance low-E glass, Warm edge spacer 16 mm or more air
Double Glazing PVC, U max = 1.5 W/m² Not less than 4 мм low-E glass, Warm edge spacer 16 mm or more argon
Triple Glazing PVC, U max = 1.5 W/m² Not less than 4 мм low-E glass 10 mm or more air
Double Glazing wood, U max = 1.5 W/m² Not less than 4 мм low-E glass, Warm edge spacer 16 mm or more air
Double Glazing wood, U max = 1.5 W/m² Not less than 4 мм low-E glass, Warm edge spacer 16 mm or more argon
Triple Glazing wood, U max = 1.5 W/m² Not less than 4 мм low-E glass 10 mm or more air
Triple Glazing Aluminium, U max = 1.9 W/m² Not less than 4 мм low-E glass, Warm edge spacer 10 mm or more air 30 mm or more

For not permanently occupied areas:

  • Maximum U-value for the whole window: <1.8 W/m² K
  • Maximum Emissivity (ε) of the whole window: <1.7 W/m² K
  • If a certified U-value for the whole window and/or its glazing is not available, the minimum set of criteria laid out in the table below applies.
Window Frame Material At least one glass pane should be: Space b/n the panes Space filled with: Frame Thermal Brake
Double Glazing PVC, U max = 1.8 W/m² Not less than 4 мм low-E glass 16 mm or more air

 Conformity Requirement:

CE Marking or Certificates of conformity issues by accredited institution in EU.

When conformity is certified by an Accredited Institution, the vendor must submit all drawings, bill of materials, and other pertinent product specifications, on the basis of which the Institution has issued its certification report.
